Host Equipment Ltd. evolved from the long standing locally owned Host Ice Company.  Host Ice, founded in 1962 was purchased by Arctic Glacier in 1997.  In 2002, Arctic Glacier elected to return to their core business and concentrate their efforts in ice making and distribution.

Robert Long, a long time Host Ice employee, saw great potential in maintaining the sales and service of ice and beverage equipment.  With the goal of continuing to provide the Texas Panhandle and surrounding areas with quality equipment and service, Host Equipment, Ltd was founded in 2002.   Within three years, the company has become the exclusive distributor for Hoshizaki ice makers as well as one of the highest rated service companies in the Panhandle and Lubbock area
